Brothers and Sisters!

John G. Stumpf, President and CEO of bailout-recipient Wells Fargo is coming to NC State's Campus next Wednesday, November 30th at 4:15pm. He'll speak to students and the public about his career, leadership experiences, and perhaps the $19 million in taxpayer money he earned last year foreclosing on American homes. I am researching civil lawsuits against WF.  I can't believe how many there and how many they have settled.  The DOJ, california, illinois and new york state have all filed suit.  if you know of any others, please pass on to me.  We don't need to replicate each other's work.  there's plenty of dirt to be dug.

I think there is a statement or question in there somewhere.
No real social change has ever been brought about without a revolution... revolution is but thought carried into action.

good, maybe if we can dig up enough dirt, we can bury him in it in front of the whole college...

I still can't believe a university which requires students studying business & management programs in its many different colleges to take one or two semesters worth of classes with the name ETHICS in the title would choose the CEO of Wells Fargo to address it's students on LEADERSHIP. ??? :o >:(  Of all the people they could have requested to speak to and inspire the student body in their future careers, in the wake of banking bailouts, long term "recession" (depression in reality), and state of current events we should all be asking ourselves: Really? THIS GUY?!?!?! WTF!?!?!?

- NCSU Must be going for the do as I say and not as I do technique of teaching here. If this is any indication about what private funding does to the quality of public education we are all screwed.

With the level of education rising in regard to the unethical practices of Wells Fargo, I'm betting he gets laughed off the stage - Or at least seriously humbled.  8) :-X :-*

Well, if we all get the chance, he'll be laughed right out of the building.

First, I'm guessing he'll know what's in store for him and will have some counter... or else will not attend.

Secondly, wouldn't it be a nice gesture if each morning when a Wells Fargo Branch opened it found it's walkway covered with large rocks painted with something like:
"Family Foreclosed" or "OverSold Customer" of "No Responsibility Here" so all who enter the back will be reminded the 'trust' that was placed and betrayed.
Words ought to be a little wild, for they are the assaults of thoughts on the unthinking.

a quick note:

http://news.yahoo.com/p-downgrades-top-us-banks-credit-ratings-222321310.html

Wells Fargo fell to "A+" from "AA-" which likewise triggered downgrades for several subsidiaries. Shares closed down 7 cents at $24.08, then lost 18 cents aftermarket.

I notice that the article has it backwards.. you can't fall from AA- to A+ so my belief is they screwed up that reporting.... HOWEVER... talk about something to mic check and to talk about his LEADERSHIP skills.

EDIT: Something about asking how it feels to be on the other end of the stick when it comes to credit.

I think that might be right Tony. My understanding is it went like:

AAA
AA+
AA
AA-
A+
A
A-

...and so on down the line. I could be wrong though.

I will say this: Stumpf is going to be having a really really shitty day.  ;D

I'm out of town and regret I can't attend this event.  It is already getting national coverage.

If I had a chance to ask a question I would ask:

You have been speaking about Leadership.  Do you think you are setting a good example for the health of our economy by receiving compensation of 560 time the median income of US workers?  Do you think that your job is worth 560 times the median income of US workers?

Facts:

Chmn. Pres. & CEO  John G. Stumpf
WELLS FARGO & CO (WFC)
Headquarters: SAN FRANCISCO, C
COMMERCIAL BANKS
In 2010, John G. Stumpf received $18,973,722 in total compensation. By comparison, the median worker made $33,840 in 2010. John G. Stumpf made 560 times the median worker's pay.

If he was doing a good job I'd say he can have that pay.

Hate to be the realist here but are you sure that Mr. Stumpf  won't be shielded from seeing/hearing you coming and going as well as will you be allowed to here his speech (or quickly hustled out of the room)?

First thing is get a good recon of the area, where Mr. Stumpf  will most like enter and exit the building the room where he is speaking so you know where he will be and what security will be like.

I think if your going to protest go in small groups and sit all over the place so if security does hustle you out they will have to split up to do so (better would be to have a group protest wait a bit then have another group protest)
